Conference Aims, Objectives & Modules
Overall Aims:
To enable young people to develop the skills, inspiration, vision, confidence, and action plans to be an effective leader. To empower young people to make a positive difference to their society through the practice of effective leadership.
Objectives:
Participants will be able to:- Understand (internalise) the key concepts/ideals that drive the leadership programme
- Discover personal strengths, passions, motivations that inspire them to be leaders
- Clarify and develop personal values that enable them to be good leaders
- Develop a clear vision of the difference they would like to make to society/local community
- Set clear specific goals and develop action plans to achieve them
- Practice specific leadership skills such as planning, problem solving, critical thinking and working effectively with others
- Practice communication skills that best influence and involve others
- Put together a learning plan to improve their own leadership abilities and achieve their goals
